In this digital era, computer security is a fundamental component of every system, where confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation are of concern. This minor in cybersecurity prepares students to build efficient and secure information systems in various fields, including web development, computer networks, and healthcare information systems.
Students must have officially declared a major.

A student may complete a minor in Cybersecurity by selecting courses totaling at least 15 hours from those offered by the Department of Computer Science. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 9 credit hours toward a minor at Northeastern. The courses must be chosen in consultation with the Department advisor or chairperson.
