The minor in Commercial Transactions is designed to enable students to understand multiple aspects of planning and executing commercial transactions. Due to vast legal regulations and social/cultural changes in our society, commercial transactions are becoming more and more complex, both domestically and internationally. In order to avoid extremely consequential legal and business setbacks, it is critical to understand not only business aspects, but also legal and moral aspects of business transactions. The courses touch upon areas as diverse as contracts, sales, the uniform commercial code, business entities, intellectual property, taxation, private law aspects international business transactions, finance, accounting, and corporate social responsibility.

Students must complete, at Northeastern, three courses designated as Engaged Learning Experiences courses. One of the Engaged Learning Experiences courses must be at the 300-level, and one Engaged Learning Experiences course must be designated as "Boundary Crossing". | |

Math/Quantitative Reasoning (MA) 1 Math course, that has intermediate Algebra as prerequisite OR is a course listed on the General Education Distributive Learning List of Approved Courses. Any 3 hour college level math course, beyond Intermediate Algebra, meets this requirement. |
